Vanguard Helps Chicago Youth Centers Save $19,000 on Electricity This Year
Chicago Youth Centers, a not-for-profit social services agency investing in youths in Chicago’s underserved communities, wanted to lower its natural gas and electricity prices.
Chicago Youth Centers engaged with Vanguard for natural gas and electricity.
Chicago Youth Centers saved on natural gas and electricity vs. the utilities, and received excellent customer service from Vanguard. Specifically for electricity, Chicago Youth Centers is on track to save $19,000 this year.
“We are a not-for-profit, so everything is about price. Vanguard has delivered on price and service, so we are very happy with them.
Rick Smith, our Vanguard sales rep, knows how critical it is for us to save money. He is friendly, very pro-active, and drives real cost savings for us. Rick watches our account very closely so I don’t have to. And he worries so I don’t have to.
Rick is on top of everything, and has our best interests as his best interests. He monitors the market and advises me when to lock in pricing on natural gas, when to renew a contract, etc.
Because of Rick we don’t have much annual fluctuation on gas prices. That’s important because every penny matters to us. We are on track to save $19,000 on electricity this year. That’s a lot of money for any organization, but it’s especially significant for a not-for-profit.
We belong to a co-operative where not-for-profit organizations can collectively receive price discounts on products and services. We are eligible to participate in this for energy, but I declined. I do not want to switch from Vanguard. Their prices and service are too good.
We have been happy with Vanguard for 7 years, and I do not anticipate switching to any other energy company. I highly recommend Vanguard.”
